Windhoek, October 18th—Nangolo Mbumba, Vice President of Namibia, met here today with the CPC delegation headed by Zhang Guangzhi, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee and Head of the Organization Department of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee.
Mbumba said that Namibia attaches great importance to its relations with China and looks forward to accelerating the cooperation in major projects. Zhang said that the Chinese side is willing to, together with the Namibian side, speed up the implementation of the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and the outcomes from the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, in a bid to better benefit the two peoples.
During his stay in Namibia, Zhang also paid a courtesy call on Sam Nujoma, the first President of Namibia, and held working talks with Sophia Shaningwa, Secretary-General of the South West Africa People's Organization of Namibia.
