Beijing, November 8th—Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle, Special Envoy of Asia Pacific Affairs and former President of Chile.

Li appreciated the long-term contributions made by Frei to promoting the development of China-Chile relations, and expressed that China is willing to make joint efforts with Chile to propel the sustainable and in-depth development of bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership. He also introduced Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

Frei spoke highly of the influence of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s concept on party governance and state administration on China and the world, and noted that he will continue to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between Chile and China in various fields to achieve development on higher levels.
