Beijing, February 21st—Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with a cadre study group consisting of the National Democratic Party (NDP) of Surinam and the United National Congress (UNC) of Trinidad and Tobago.
Li made positive comments on the relations between China and the Caribbean countries as well as the inter-party exchanges between China and Surinam and between China and Trinidad and Tobago. He said that the CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Caribbean political parties including the NDP and the UNC to promote the Belt and Road Initiative between China and the Caribbean countries.
The study group thanked China for its selfless support and assistance to the development of the Caribbean countries and expressed its willingness to learn from the experience of the CPC in party governance and state administration to promote common development.
