Urumchi, February 25—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation led by Fazle Rabbi Miah, leader of the Bangladesh Awami League (BAL) and Deputy Speaker of the Parliament.

Guo introduced China's practices and achievements in safeguarding national unity and promoting common development of all ethnic groups. He said that the CPC attaches great importance to its relations with the BAL and is willing to work with Bangladeshi political parties to jointly push for the continuous deepening of China-Bangladesh strategic cooperative partnership.

Fazle spoke highly of China's achievements in economic and social development and spoke positively of China's system of regional ethnic autonomy. He said that the BAL is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the CPC to jointly promote the development of Bangladesh-China relations.
