Beijing, April 25th—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with Vito Rosario Petrocelli, President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Senate of Italy and Head of the International Relations of the Five Star Movements, who was in China for the thematic forum on people-to-people connectivity of the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.

Qian made positive comments on China-Italy relations, saying that the CPC attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with Italian political parties including the Five Star Movements to jointly promote the healthy and stable development of China-Italy friendly relations.

Petrocelli said that the Five Star Movement is willing to strengthen dialogue and exchanges with the CPC, enhance mutual understanding and play a positive role in the steady and long-term development of the Belt and Road cooperation between Italy and China.
