Beijing, June 24th—Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a senior cadre study group of the governing coalition of Chile co-headed by Mario Desbordes, President of the National Renewal and  Hernán Larraín Matte, President of the Political Evolution.

Li made positive comments on the fruitful achievements of China-Chile cooperation in various fields, saying that the CPC is willing to strengthen governance exchanges with Chile's governing coalition, promote the joint efforts of the two countries to build the Belt and Road Initiative and push for continuous development of China-Chile comprehensive strategic partnership. Li also elaborated on China's position on China-US trade frictions.

The Chilean side spoke highly of the great development achievements the Chinese people have made under the CPC’s leadership over the past 70 years, and said that governing coalition of Chile is willing to work with the CPC to deepen exchanges, and promote bilateral cooperation in various fields for in-depth development, and stands ready to work with China to maintain the multilateral trade system, promote the economic globalization and trade liberalization, and promote the benign development of the world economy.
