Beijing, July 10th—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with Busaya Mathelin, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.
Guo said that China is ready to work with Thailand to actively implement the important consensus reached by leaders of the two countries, deepen inter-party exchanges and pragmatic cooperation in various fields and promote high-quality development of bilateral relations. China supports Thailand in assuming the rotating chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) this year and stands ready to strengthen coordination with Thailand to jointly maintain the sound momentum of regional peace, stability and development.
Busaya expressed appreciation for the great development achievements made since the founding of the People's Republic of China 70 years ago, saying that Thailand hopes to continue to deepen friendship with China and all-round cooperation between the two countries, give full play to the rotating chair of the ASEAN, advance ASEAN-China cooperation and promote regional peace, stability and sustainable development.
