Beijing, October 29th—Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Mikhail Fradkov, former Russian Prime Minister and Director of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies, who was in China for a visit.

Speaking positively of the achievements of bilateral relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia in the past 70 years, Guo said that in the face of profound changes unseen in a century in the world, China and Russia should continue to strengthen bilateral exchanges and cooperation.

Fradkov said that both sides should constantly strengthen the maintenance of Russia-China relations. He looked forward to continuing exchanges and cooperation in research with the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
