On October 23rd, John Joseph Magufuli, President of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) and Tanzanian President met here today at the presidential residence with a CPC delegation led by Guo Yezhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Magufuli thanked President Xi Jinping for awarding a Friendship Medal to Salim Ahmed Salim, former Prime Minister of Tanzania. Tanzania will continue to vigorously carry forward bilateral traditional friendship and push the relations between the two Parties and the two countries for continuous development.

Guo said, the CPC is willing to further carry forward the traditional friendship with the CCM, deepen exchanges and cooperation and push the relations between the two countries to new highs.

During the visit, Ali Mohamed Shein, President of Zanzibar, and Bashiru Ally, Secretary General of the CCM and others held talks and meetings respectively with the delegation.
