Li Mingxiang Attends Opening Ceremony of Webinar for Cadres of Ruling Coalition Parties of Benin

Beijing, July 21st—The International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) held a webinar here today for cadres of the ruling coalition of Benin under the theme of “theory and practice of the ruling party in leading the country's poverty alleviation”. Li Mingxiang, Assistant-minister of the IDCPC and Gérard Gbenonchi, 2nd Vice-President of the Progressive Union and Nassirou Bako-Arifari, Secretary General of the Republican Bloc in charge of the formation and the school of the party attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Twenty middle and senior cadres from the Beninese side attended the event.

Li mainly introduced the achievements and experience in poverty alleviation in the new era under the CPC's leadership, and actively introduced the fourth volume of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China”, saying that the book will help the international community keep abreast of the latest development of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era, and it is of great help to deepen the understanding of the development path that China has chosen and its approach to and theory of governance. Li said that the CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Progressive Union and the Republican Bloc, deepen the exchange of experience in state governance and administration, and work together to build a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future.

Gbenonchi and Arifari expressed their sincere admiration for the great victory the Chinese people have made in the fight against poverty in the new era under the CPC’s leadership. They looked forward to reading the fourth volume of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China” at an early date and studying the CPC’s experience in state governance and administration in an in-depth way, so as to better promote Benin’s development and benefit the people of Benin.
