Shen Beili Attends Matchmaking Conference for Chinese and Japanese Enterprises

Kunming, August 17th—China Economic Cooperation Center, Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Yunnan Province, Yunnan Provincial Investment Promotion Bureau and the Japanese Chamber Commerce and Industry in China held here today a matchmaking conference for Chinese and Japanese enterprises. Shen Beili, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), Wang Hao, Vice Governor of People’s Government of Yunnan Province, Miyazaki Yoichi, Deputy Head of the Japanese Chamber Commerce and Industry in China and Chairman and CEO of Toshiba (China) Corporation, Fujishima Masnobu, Councellor for Economic & Commercial Affairs of the Embassy of Japan in PRC and others attended and addressed the function.

Shen said, this year marks the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan. Both countries gradually become a community with shared benefits that have complementary advantages, rely on each other and share weal and woe. As China-Japan relations stand at a new starting point in history, the business circles of both countries should unswervingly adhere to the general direction of peace and friendship between our two countries, strengthen cooperation and win-win results and inject more positive energy into relations between the two countries.

Wang welcomed the Japanese enterprises in China to further deepen their understanding of the industrial advantages and business environment of Yunnan and boost bilateral practical cooperation through their tour to Yunnan.

Miyazaki Yoichi said, Japanese enterprises in China are full of expectation of the prospects of China's economic and social development, are willing to actively take firm root in China, and continuously facilitate the development of economic and trade relations between the two countries. Fujishima Masnobu said, Japanese entrepreneurs should take the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic ties as an opportunity, make good use of the tour to Yunnan Province and strengthen communication and matchmaking with local enterprises.

At the conference, representatives from nearly 30 renowned Japanese enterprises, many of which are Fortune Global 500 companies, business chambers, government departments of Yunnan Province and enterprises in Yunnan conducted in-depth exchanges and matchmaking in such areas as trade, investment, integrated industrial development, financial integration, low-carbon development and environmental protection, reaching a series of cooperation intentions and consensus.
