Beijing, September 28th—The International Department of the CPC Central Committee held here today the Award Ceremony of Writing & Photography Competition themed the CPC in the New Era in My Eyes via video link. Li Mingxiang, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. More than 130 participants from over 30 African countries were present.

Li spoke positively of the active participation of African friends from all walks of life. He highlighted the achievements and experience of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, and introduced the upcoming 20th CPC National Congress and the fourth volume of "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" published recently. He hoped that the participants can take this competition as their new starting point, continue to tell well the CPC’s stories and the stories of China-Africa friendly cooperation in the new era, carry forward the spirit of China-Africa friendship and cooperation, facilitate mutual benefit, win-win results and common development between China and Africa under the new circumstances, promote China-Africa solidarity and cooperation, and build with the Chinese side a China-Africa community with a shared future in the new era.

Esteves Hilário, Politburo member of MPLA, Angola, Stephen Bwansa Mabele, President of DRC-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and other award-wining delegates, gave heartfelt gratitude to the International Department of the CPC Central Committee for holding this competition, and spoke highly of the remarkable achievements in Chinese economic and social development under the leadership of the CPC and their global influences. They wished the 20th CPC National Congress a complete success, and said that they are willing to work with the Chinese side to intensify mutual learning, strengthen communication and cooperation, and contribute wisdom and strength to China-Africa friendship in the new era.
