Beijing, April 11th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Chan Heng Chee, Co-Chair of Asia Society Board of Trustees.
Sun said, the meeting between the heads of state of China and the US in San Francisco opened up a future-oriented San Francisco vision. In a recent phone call between the two heads of state, they had candid and in-depth exchanges of views on China-US relations and issues of common concern. Both sides should further implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and promote more fruitful results in bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields. The IDCPC is ready to work with the Asia Society to ensure the success of the China-US 1.5 Track Dialogue, and enhance mutual and correct understanding between the two countries.
