Lu Kang Meets with John Busuttil, Maltese Ambassador to China

Beijing, June 25th—Lu Kang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with John Busuttil, Maltese Ambassador to China.  


Lu spoke positively of China-Malta relations, saying that the Chinese side values the traditional friendship between China and Malta, and is willing to work with the Maltese side to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, intensify exchanges, deepen mutual trust, and deepen and solidify cooperation in various fields. The Chinese side is willing to deepen inter-party exchanges, strengthen coordination and cooperation in international and regional affairs, and promote healthy and stable development of China-Malta and China-Europe relations.  

John Busuttil said, Malta-China relations have enjoyed positive momentum of development, with close high-level exchanges and positive results from practical cooperation in various fields. The Maltese side is willing to continue strengthening bilateral relations and inter-party exchanges with the Chinese side, and enhance communication and cooperation in international affairs, so as to push forward the development of Malta-China relations. The Maltese side is ready to play a bridging role, actively promoting the stable development of Europe-China relations.
