Beijing, November 20th—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Andreas Riecken, Austrian Ambassador to China.

Ma said, as the world situation is complex and ever-changing, China and Austria should continue to strengthen dialogue and cooperation, promote the continuous development of China-Austria friendly strategic partnership, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Europe, and contribute to world peace and development. The CPC is willing to promote the sound and stable development of China-Austria and China-Europe relations through inter-party exchanges.

Riecken said, Austria regards China as an important partner and is willing to continuously tap the potential of practical cooperation with China, properly handle differences through dialogue and communication, seek common ground while shelving differences, and push forward Austria-China and Europe-China relations.
