Beijing, October 12th—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Marcelo Muñoz, President Emeritus of Catedra China of Spain, who was visiting China at the invitation of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC).  

Ma congratulated Muñoz on being awarded the title of the Friendship Ambassador to China and commended his longstanding contributions to fostering China-Spain relations. He said, the Chinese side is willing to work with Catedra China to promote the continuous deepening of China-Spain friendship. Ma also extended birthday wishes to Muñoz as he approaches his 90th birthday. 

Muñoz said that Catedra China is willing to continue to strengthen friendly relations with all walks of life in China, play a better role as a bridge, promote mutual understanding and cooperation in various fields between the two countries, and contribute to the development of Spain-China and Europe-China relations.
