Beijing, December 20th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today on the morning with Wan Rosdy bin Wan Ismail, Vice President of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) and Chief Minister of Malaysia's Pahang State.
Sun said this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia. The two countries have close exchanges at all levels and the bilateral relations are developing at a high level. The CPC attaches importance to the long-term friendly relations with the UMNO and is ready to further strengthen mutual learning on the governance of party and state between the two Parties, promote exchanges and cooperation in various fields such as youth and at local levels, and actively contribute to the building of a China-Malaysia community with a shared future.
Wan Rosdy bin Wan Ismail spoke positively of Malaysia-China relations and the CPC's achievements of governing the country. He said the UMNO attaches great importance to relations with China and exchanges between the two Parties, and hopes to learn from the CPC's experience and practices in party building, cadre training and other fields and intensify exchanges and cooperation between the youth of the two sides. Pahang State is willing to push practical cooperation between Malaysia and China for more fruitful results, so as to benefit the people of both countries.
