Beijing, February 18th—Sun Haiyan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today on the morning with a delegation of young officials of the Singaporean government. 

Sun introduced the ruling philosophy of the CPC and the friendly exchanges between the two Parties, saying that this year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore, and the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries has provided strong political guarantee for the steady and healthy development of bilateral relations. Young people are the most dynamic envoys of friendship in bilateral relations. The Chinese side is ready to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the young people of the two countries in various fields and at all levels to help China-Singapore friendship grow ever stronger as time goes by. 

The Singaporean side made positive comments on the visit, saying that Singapore-China friendship is the common aspiration of the two peoples. It hoped to take the opportunity of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations to further enrich the forms and contents of exchanges and cooperation between the young people of the two countries, deepen mutual understanding and trust, and push Singapore-China relations to a new level.
