Li Mingxiang Meets with a Delegation of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) National Executive Committee of Tanzania

Beijing, March 12th—Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) National Executive Committee of Tanzania led by Amos Makalla, Secretary for Ideology, Publicity, and Training of the CCM. 


Li spoke positively of the relations between the two Parties and the two countries. He briefed on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era and the spirit of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. He said that the CPC is willing to work with the CCM to consolidate traditional friendship, strengthen political dialogue, deepen the exchanges of experience in state governance and administration and cooperation in cadre training under the guidance of the important consensus reached by General Secretary Xi Jinping and President Samia Suluhu Hassan, so as to promote the continuous development of China-Tanzania comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. 

Makalla said that the friendship between Tanzania and China has a long history and was jointly forged by the elder generations of leaders of the two countries including President Julius Nyerere and Chairman Mao Zedong. The Tanzanian side sincerely thanks the Chinese side for assisting Tanzania in building major projects such as the Tanzania-Zambia Railway and supporting Tanzania's economic and social development. The CCM hopes to carry out in-depth political dialogue with the CPC, learn from the successful experience of the CPC in party building, and constantly improve its governing capabilities.
