Beijing, April 10th—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held a group discussion with diplomatic envoys of Western European countries and the European Union (EU) to China.
Ma said, currently, there are signs of stability for the better in China-EU relations. China is willing to take the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the EU as an opportunity to deepen strategic mutual trust, enhance communication and coordination, expand mutually beneficial cooperation, promote the healthy and stable development of China-EU relations, and provide more stability and certainty to the world. The CPC is willing to conduct extensive political dialogues with the EU through inter-party channels to enhance mutual understanding between China and the EU and promote exchanges and cooperation in various fields.
The diplomatic envoys of Western European countries to China said that the current international situation is becoming more turbulent. It is crucial for China-EU relations to maintain continuity and stability. The EU is willing to work with China to successfully hold the celebration activities for the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the EU and China, deepen communication on policies and concepts, expand cooperation in areas such as economy and trade, science and technology, and green development, strengthen coordination in international affairs, and promote the development of relations between countries and EU-China relations.
Before the group discussion, Ma and the diplomatic envoys visited the innovation center of the High-level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone in Beijing and Xiaomi's EV factory in Beijing.
