Beijing, April 22nd—Li Mingxiang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of the South African Communist Party (SACP) led by Solly Afrika Mapaila, General Secretary of the SACP.
Li spoke positively of the special "comradely and brotherly" relations between China and South Africa and the relations between the CPC and the SACP. He said, the CPC is willing to further strengthen strategic communication with the SACP, deepen exchanges and mutual learning on the theory and practice of socialist construction, promote the continuous and in-depth development of the China-South Africa all-round strategic cooperative partnership in the new era, and accelerate the building of a high-level China-South Africa community with a shared future.
Mapaila said, no matter how the international and domestic situations change, the SACP will firmly adhere to the one-China principle and look forward to maintaining close high-level political dialogue with the CPC, learning from the successful experience of the CPC in advancing socialism with Chinese characteristics in an in-depth manner, and working with China to promote the further development of China-South Africa and China-Africa relations in the new situation and strengthen the unity and cooperation of progressive forces around the world.
