Ma Hui Meets with Celinda Sosa Lunda, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Bolivia

Beijing, May 12th—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning with Celinda Sosa Lunda, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Bolivia. 


Ma congratulated Bolivia on its 200th anniversary of independence. He said, this year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bolivia. China and Bolivia are both Global South countries and members of the BRICS family. China is willing to work with Bolivia to meet each other halfway, implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and promote China-Bolivia strategic partnership for greater development. 

Sosa said, Bolivia attaches great importance to developing relations with China and regards China as a good friend and strategic partner. It thanks China for the unconditional support for Bolivia's inclusion as a BRICS partner country, and looks forward to deepening cooperation with China in various fields, promoting mutual benefit and win-win results, and jointly safeguarding international fairness and justice. 

Hugo José Siles Núñez del Prado, Bolivian Ambassador to China, and Catarina Mamani, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bolivia, and others, attended the event.
