Beijing, May 14th—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the morning at request with Iván Moreira, leader of the Independent Democratic Union (UDI), President of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Senate, and head of Chile-China Parliamentary Friendship Group, José Miguel Insulza, leader of Socialist Party (PS), and President of the Public Security Committee of Chile's National Congress, and Francisco Chahuán, former President of National Renewal (RN), Chair of the Senate Human Rights Commission and Chilean co-chair of the Chile-China Parliamentary Political Dialogue Committee. 

Ma gave a positive assessment of the China-Chile relations and inter-party exchanges, and expressed that China is willing to work with Chile to implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important speech at the opening ceremony of the fourth ministerial meeting of the China-CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) Forum and the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, and push China-Chile relations and relations between China and Latin American and Caribbean countries to a new level. In the new era, the CPC is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with all political parties in Chile, promote the steady and long-term development of China-Chile relations, and inject stability and positive energy into the turbulent world. 

The Chilean side highly praised President Xi Jinping's speech at the opening ceremony of the fourth ministerial meeting of the China-CELAC Forum. They said that strengthening Chile-China relations has become the important consensus among all parties in the Chilean Parliament and all sectors of government and opposition. Chilean political parties are willing to continue to deepen exchanges with the CPC and push Chile-China cooperation in various fields for new achievements through inter-party channels.
