Beijing, August 7th—Chen Zhou, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Somphone Sichaleune, Lao Ambassador to China. The two sides exchanged views on China-Laos relations, especially on issues of common interest, such as inter-party exchanges between China and Laos. 

Chen spoke positively of the relations between the two Parties and the two countries, and called on both sides to follow the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, implement the new five-year action plan for building a China-Laos community with a shared future, strengthen communication and exchanges, expand practical cooperation, and jointly contribute to the development of China-Laos relations and China-Laos community with a shared future. 

Somphone Sichaleune said, the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and the Lao government attach great importance to implementing the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, and are willing to strengthen exchanges and interactions with the Chinese side at all levels to continuously promote new results in the construction of a Laos-China community with a shared future.
