Beijing, November 11th—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a delegation of young leaders from Cypriot political parties led by Andreas Pasiourtides, Member of the Cypriot Parliament and Member of the Central Committee of the Progressive Party of the Working People. Koula Sophianou, Ambassador of Cyprus to China, also attended the meeting.

Ma elaborated on the spirit of the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and positively spoke of the active role played by Cypriot political parties in promoting China-Cyprus relations. He said, the CPC is willing to strengthen experience exchanges in party building and state governance with Cypriot political parties, enhance political mutual trust, and promote the healthy development of China-Cyprus and China-Europe relations.
Pasiourtides expressed high attention to the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the 15th Five-Year Plan, and commended China's determination and execution in formulating and implementing medium and long-term plans. Cypriot political parties are highly consistent in developing friendly and cooperative relations with China and are willing to further enhance exchanges and cooperation with the CPC to contribute to the steady and long-term development of Cyprus-China and Europe-China relations.
