Beijing, December 23rd—Jin Xin, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Jawad Mohammed Qutish Awad, the newly-appointed Palestinian Ambassador to China. 

Jin welcomed Jawad on his assumption of the new post in China. He said, China is willing to work with Palestine to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, deepen inter-party exchanges and friendly cooperation in various fields, and promote the healthy and stable development of the China-Palestine strategic partnership. China firmly supports the just cause of the Palestinian people in restoring their legitimate national rights and is willing to work with the international community to continue to play a constructive role in the comprehensive, just, and lasting solution to the Palestinian question. 

Jawad highly praised and thanked China for the impartial stance on the Palestinian question, and said that Palestine has always attached great importance to developing relations with China and supported the four global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping. Palestine looks forward to deepening exchanges and cooperation in various fields through inter-party channels to promote the continuous development of Palestine-China relations. 

The two sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common interest.
