Beijing, May 19th—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today withYolanda Díaz, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labor and Social Economy of Spain, who was in China for the Global Trade and Investment Promotion Summit 2026. 

Ma noted, President Xi Jinping has met with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez four times in four years during his visits to China, and the two leaders have reached important consensus on advancing the China-Spain comprehensive strategic partnership. The IDCPC stands ready to further deepen exchanges and dialogue between the CPC and Spanish political parties, organizations and friendly figures, contributing political parties’ wisdom and strength to the development of bilateral relations and the safeguarding of international fairness and justice.

Díaz stated, the steady advancement of Spain-China relations is conducive to promoting the economic and social development of both countries and continuously enhancing the well-being of the two peoples. It also helps uphold multilateralism, address global challenges, and build a more just and equitable international order. The Spanish side is ready to work with the Chinese side to implement the important consensus reached by the two leaders and elevate bilateral relations to new heights. More Chinese enterprises are welcome to invest and start business in Spain to jointly build a model of mutually beneficial cooperation.
