Beijing, July 6th—Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with a multi-party parliamentary delegation of the Andean Parliament, led by June Bohórquez Garcés, Vice President of the Andean Parliament.

Ma noted that China attaches great importance to its relations with Andean countries and is ready to further strengthen friendly exchanges with the Andean Parliament, contributing greater wisdom and strength to the sustained and steady development of relations between China and Andean countries. The CPC is ready to work with political parties of Andean countries to strengthen political dialogue, enhance mutual understanding and trust, deepen the exchange of experience in state governance and administration, improve each side's capacity for party governance and state governance, advance practical cooperation, promote mutually beneficial and win-win development, reinforce multilateral coordination, and defend international fairness and justice, so as to push for the sustained and in-depth development of state-to-state relations.
Ma pointed out that under the strategic guidance of head-of-state diplomacy, China and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) have become a community with a shared future that is moving forward hand in hand. The defining feature of this community is treating each other as equals, its strong driving force is mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, its grand vision is openness and inclusiveness, and its fundamental pursuit is the well-being of the people. It enjoys vigorous vitality and broad prospects for development. The CPC is ready to work with political parties of Andean countries to jointly advance the five programs for building a China-LAC community with a shared future.

Bohórquez noted that under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, China has achieved economic and social development achievements that have attracted worldwide attention. Political parties of Andean countries and the CPC all uphold a people-centered philosophy, and they look forward to strengthening inter-party exchanges and cooperation across various fields with the CPC, improving their respective capacity, and better delivering benefits to their people. The Andean Parliament is ready to continue to advance countries in the region to strengthen exchanges with the Chinese side in such areas as academic research, people-to-people and cultural engagement, and local governance, and keep promoting the development of state-to-state relations and practical cooperation, and the building of a China-LAC community with a shared future.
The two sides also exchanged views on their respective domestic situations, bilateral relations and regional hotspot issues.
