On the morning of September 22nd, Lu Kang, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended a tea chat themed "solidarity throughout, cooperation toward the future," hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament in Hanchuan, Hubei. He held discussions and exchanges with Consuls General and senior diplomats of the consulates general of the United Kingdom, Russia, the United States and the Republic of Korea in Wuhan, as well as Chinese and foreign civil society figures including descendants of the Flying Tigers and of the Soviet Volunteer Aviation Group. Chen Ping, Vice Governor of Hubei Province, attended the event.
Lu said that as profound changes unseen in a century accelerate, multilateralism and the international order are under strain and regional conflicts occur frequently, once again placing humanity at a crossroads of history. Peace has not come easily. The international community should remember history, abide by the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, share the responsibility of the times, promote the steady and sustained development of state-to-state relations, carry forward friendship among peoples, and jointly create a better future. Countries should uphold mutual respect and safeguard overall world peace and stability; foster an objective and rational strategic perception and strengthen the resilience of state-to-state relations; stay committed to openness and cooperation and promote the common prosperity of all countries and the world; and strengthen multilateral coordination and enhance the quality and efficiency of global governance.

Participants unanimously noted that amid the current turbulent and complex international situation, all countries should work together to address challenges and safeguard world stability and prosperity. Consuls General and senior diplomats of the consulates general in Wuhan said that today's world is full of uncertainty, and all countries should remember history, carry forward the spirit of solidarity and coordination, adhere to dialogue and communication, and jointly tackle challenges. China is a stable cooperation partner, and they are ready to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with China, strengthen multilateral communication and coordination, and promote world peace and development.
