At the invitation of the Nur Otan Party of Kazakhstan, Yang Xiaodu, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and Director of National Supervisory Commission, led a CPC delegation to visit Kazakhstan from October 10th to 12th. He met with Bauyrzhan Baibek, First Deputy Chairman of the Nur Otan Party. He also held talks with Alik Shpekbayev, Chairman of the Anti-corruption Agency of Kazakhstan, and signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between China's National Supervisory Commission and the Anti-corruption Agency of Kazakhstan.
Yang said political mutual trust between China and Kazakhstan has reached an unprecedented high level under the strategic guidance and personal promotion of the two countries' leaders. Developing a permanent comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries is an inevitable choice of the long-standing bilateral relations and the common wish of the two peoples. The Nur Otan Party is an important partner of the CPC. The two Parties are giving play to the unique advantages as ruling parties, comprehensively implementing the important consensuses reached by Chinese and Kazakh leaders, and jointly pushing for cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative as well as constant and in-depth development of China-Kazakhstan relations. Yang also briefed on China's full and strict governance over the party and anti-corruption under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with General Secretary Xi Jinping at its core.
Speaking highly of the great achievements the People's Republic of China has made over the past seven decades after its founding, the Kazakh side noted that developing Kazakhstan-China permanent comprehensive strategic partnership is in the interest of both countries. Kazakhstan is ready to take it as an opportunity to participate in the Belt and Road Initiative in a more comprehensive manner, deepen cooperation with China in various areas including anti-corruption, and realize common development. The Nur Otan Party stands ready to strengthen institutional exchanges with the CPC, and deepen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in party governance and state administration, so as to make greater contributions to the development of the relations between the two countries.
Yang also attended a symposium on the clean Silk Road construction of Chinese-funded enterprises in Kazakhstan.
