Beijing, October 11th—Yin Li, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, met here today with Giuseppe Provenzano, Head of the Italian Democratic Party's Foreign Affairs Department.

Yin said, this year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Italy. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Italian side to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, deepen inter-party exchanges, strengthen practical cooperation, and promote the development of China-Italy and China-European Union (EU) relations.

Provenzano said, the Democratic Party of Italy is willing to strengthen its traditional friendly relations with the CPC, promote greater development of Italy-China and EU-China relations, and work together to meet various global challenges.
