China needs to learn more about the rest of the world, and the rest of the world likewise needs to learn more about China and the Communist Party of China. The IDCPC is a functional department of the Communist Party of China responsible for external work. As one of the Party’s important fronts, its external work is committed to promoting better understanding of its vision and policies and mobilising support therefore in the international community. As an integral component of China’s overall diplomatic endeavours, the Party’s external work is committed to enhancing country-to-country and people-to-people understanding and friendship through party-to-party ties. As a significant manifestation of the major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics, the Party’s external work is committed to fostering a new type of party-to-party relations, and making due contribution to national rejuvenation and human progress. In the new era, we will follow the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core to carry forward the fine traditions and keep breaking new ground. Adhering to the principles of independence, complete equality, mutual respect and non-interference in each other’s internal affairs upon which party-to-party ties are based, we will work actively to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with political parties of various countries so that there shall be more and more friends of the Party and friends of China. Hence, the international capacity and moral inspiration of the Party will keep growing, and contribution will be made to the realisation of the Chinese dream of national rejuvenation and to the promotion of the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
