General Office
In charge of general coordination and management of political and administrative affairs within the International Department, the General Office facilitates the decision-making of the Department leadership and execution of its decisions. It is also in charge of information summarization and submission as well as financial affairs concerning the Department itself and its international work, and management and auditing of the state-owned assets. It coordinates in administering international activities of other organs directly under the Party Central Committee and those of party committees at the level of province, autonomous region and municipality under direct jurisdiction of the central government. 

Research Office
Its chief missions are to carry out theoretical, strategic, comprehensive and policy oriented studies on international situation, world political parties, socialist movement, contemporary capitalism and other important global issues; to coordinate the research efforts within the Department and conduct academic exchanges and cooperation with outside institutions; to hold press conference and publicity activities over the Party's international work. The office has a professional team with a broad scope of research areas and appropriately structured expertise background. 

Bureau I (South and Southeast Asian Affairs)
This bureau is responsible for relations and exchanges with political parties and organizations in South Asian and Southeast Asian countries as well as research projects on their development. It possesses a professional staff long engaged in studies on those countries and well-trained in local languages such as Indonesian, Thai, Myanmese, Hindi, Urdu, Nepalese, Sinhalese and English. 

Bureau II (Northeast Asian and Indochina Affairs)
It is in charge of relation buildup and exchange promotion with political parties and organizations in Northeast Asia and Indochina as well as research on countries and parties in the regions. The staff includes research fellows and well-trained interpreters of Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Mongolian, Lao and Cambodian. 

Bureau III (West Asian and North African Affairs)
It takes care of contacts and exchanges with political parties and organizations in countries of West Asia and North Africa and carries out research work on the parties and organizations of the regions. It has a strong team versed in Arabic, English, French, Turkish and Persian, who are also good at doing policy analysis and research.

Bureau IV (African Affairs)
This bureau is responsible for developing relations and running exchanges with political parties and organizations in sub-Saharan countries as well as the related research work. It has a work team good at English, French and Portuguese in addition to doing research projects.

Bureau V (Latin American Affairs)
This bureau is assigned to develop relations and contacts with political parties and organizations in Latin American and Caribbean countries and do research work on regional situation and party affairs. It is equipped with research and language professionals proficient in Spanish and Portuguese etc. 

Bureau VI (East European and Central Asian Affairs)
The bureau is focused on relationship and intercourse development with political parties and organizations in countries of East Europe, the Baltic Sea area and the Commonwealth of Independent States as well as in-depth research on the countries, parties and organizations of the regions. It has a competent contingent of research fellows and interpreters of Russian, Czech, Serb, Polish, Romanian, Hungarian, Albanian and Bulgarian.

Bureau VII (North American, Oceanic and Scandinavian Affairs)
This bureau with a wide geographical coverage is responsible for building up contacts and relations with political parties and organizations in countries of North America, Oceanic and Scandinavia plus the native English speaking countries in Europe -- the United Kingdom, Ireland and Malta. It also carries out research on national and party developments in the relevant countries. Additionally, it is in charge of exchanges with and research on international organizations of political parties such as the Socialist International. The bureau possesses a professional team versed in English, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Finish with strong research capabilities. 

Bureau VIII (Western European Affairs)
It is entrusted to run exchanges with and research on countries, political parties and organizations in Western Europe. It is composed of a well-trained professional team with such language ability as Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, English, Greek and Dutch as well as research capability.

Protocol Bureau
This bureau is in charge of protocol and reception arrangements for visiting foreign delegations at the invitation of the CPC or its International Department and organizing outgoing party delegations as well as other activities involving foreign affairs. It has a competent team of protocol officers with rich practical experience.

Personnel Bureau
It is responsible for personnel recruitment, assignment, assessment, appointment and removal, training, payment and welfare as well as rotation and management of personnel posted abroad and clearance of staff members who travel abroad for short visits. It also takes care of structural readjustment, personnel arrangement and control of the payroll size. With regard to personnel management of non-public servant institutions affiliated to the International Department, it provides guidance, oversight and control.

Party Committee in the Department
The Party Committee in the Department is the main body charged with the Party's ideological and organizational work and work-style improvement in the department office. It is also the authority to maintain party discipline and inspect its implementation. It plays a leading role in the work of trade union, youth organization and women's association in the Department.

Information Center
This center is commissioned to collect and analyze information on international issues and political parties in the world for the department's international exchanges and research work, compile background materials for cross regional research, build and maintain the Department's website on the internet, work station for the Department's internal work and world political party databank and provide technical service to ensure a smooth running of the systems of online information and office automation.
