ADDIS ABABA, March 24 -- Hailemariam Dessalegn, Chairman of the Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) and Prime Minister of Ethiopia, met in the northwest city of Bahir Dar with Chen Fengxiang, vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, who is here to attend the 9th National Congress of the EPRDF upon invitation as CPC representative.

Hailemariam expressed the commitment of the new leadership of Ethiopia to expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with China, strengthening exchanges on governance experience between the EPRDF and the CPC and promoting bilateral coordination and cooperation in international affairs.

Chen attended the opening ceremony of the 9th National Congress of the EPRDF held on March 23rd and delivered the congratulatory letter from the CPC Central Committee.
