BEIJING, Nov. 7 -- Wang Jiarui, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, said today in Beijing that the world should know better of China and China should know more about the world.
Wang expressed this idea while delivering a keynote speech entitled Seize Global Trends and Promote Win-Win Development at the opening ceremony of the Contemporary World Multilateral Dialogue 2013.
Wang said that the coming decade will be crucial for global adjustments and reforms of economic, political and security systems, and will also be critical for China’s peaceful development. The Chinese Dream has much in common with the aspirations for peace and development shared by all peoples in the world, he said.
Wang expressed his expectations for foreign delegates to introduce to the world a true, open and development-oriented China as well as to tell China more about the world.
Themed by Global Trends and China in the Coming Decade, the two-day event attracted more than 120 political leaders, experts, scholars, diplomats and representatives of international organizations from over 30 countries and regions.
