BEIJING, Dec 9 -- Yu Hongjun, vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met with the multi-party study group from the ruling coalition of Morocco here today. The two sides exchanged views on promoting China-Morocco relations.
Yu briefed the guests on the primary features of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the outcome of the third plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee. He said that China and Morocco have a deep-rooted friendship, keep frequent political, economic, cultural and people-to-people exchanges, and maintain good cooperation on international and regional issues. China appreciates major progresses in economic and social areas along the development path chosen by the Moroccan people in light of national conditions. China wants to work with Morocco in a joint effort to deepen cooperation in various fields to better serve the interests of the people in both countries. The CPC values good relations with all political parties in Morocco and wishes to promote the continuous progress of China-Morocco friendship and cooperation through deepened communication and mutual-learning.
The Moroccan guests congratulated on the success of the third plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee and thanked China for its support to the choice of the Moroccan people themselves on the path of development. They said that the Moroccan government, people and various political forces give great importance to the relations with China and hope to build up bilateral cooperation in all areas, lifting the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries to a higher level.
