BEIJING, March 7 -- Vice-minister Li Jinjun of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here this morning with Italy's newly-appointed ambassador to China Alberto Bradanini at the request of the latter.

Li spoke highly of the Embassy's support over the years for the party-to-party and state-to-state relations between China and Italy. He looks forward to the new ambassador's effort in continuation of such assistance. The two sides also exchanged ideas on issues of common interests including China-Italy relations, China-Europe relations, the European debt crisis and the general election in Italy.
