CPC goodwill delegation visits Fiji

SUVA, March 14 -- At the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Fiji, Vice-minister Liu Jieyi paid a visit to the country from the 13th to the 14th as head of a CPC goodwill delegation. He held talks with officials from the foreign affairs, judicial and administrative departments of Fiji.

Liu Jieyi briefed the Fijian side on the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the on-going sessions of the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. China, guided by the principles of peace, development and win-win cooperation, will remain committed to building a harmonious world of lasting peace and shared prosperity, said the vice-minister. China values the relations with Fiji and is respectful of the Fijian people's own path of development. China is ready to have further cooperation with Fiji not only for a win-win prospect for the two countries but also for safeguarding the sound momentum of development in the Asia-Pacific and the interest of the developing countries as a whole, said Liu.

The Fijian side expressed gratitude for the selfless support by China over the years and the willingness to deepen cooperation with China in various fields for a continued development of Fiji-China relations.
