Song Tao Meets with Cadre Study Group of the Colombian Democratic Center

Beijing, November 19th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with the cadre study group of the Colombian Democratic Center led by Nubia Stella Martínez, President of the party.

Song expressed that the Chinese side has always viewed China-Colombia relations from a strategic height and long-term perspective. We are glad to see that in recent years, the economy of Colombia has enjoyed constant development with the livelihood of the people being constantly improved and the domestic peace process being stably advanced. The CPC pays attention to developing its relations with the Colombian Democratic Center, and is willing to strengthen exchanges of experience in party governance and state administration and jointly solve development conundrum, in a bid to push practical cooperation in various fields and better benefit the peoples of the two countries.

Martínez expressed that inter-party exchanges carry great significance to the development of Colombia-China relations. The Colombian Democratic Center hopes to take this visit as an opportunity to deepen exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese side in such areas as party building, economy and trade and infrastructure construction, in a bid to push the constant and forward-looking development of relations between the two parties and the two countries.
