Beijing, November 20th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a cadre study group of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led by Asad Umar, Leader of the PTI.

Song expressed that China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic cooperative partners, iron friends and good brothers. Prime Minister Imran Khan paid a successful visit to China at the beginning of this month. President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Imran Khan reached important consensus on the development of relations between the two countries, charting the course for the development of China-Pakistan friendly relations in the new period. The CPC is willing to, together with the PTI, well implement the important consensus reached by leaders of both countries, enhance mechanism communication and cooperation between ruling parties, and give play to the political leading role of both ruling parties to bilateral relations, so as to continuously inject new impetus into the development of China-Pakistan traditional friendly relations.

Asad expressed that China is a reliable friend and firm partner of Pakistan. The PTI admires the great achievements made by China under the leadership of the CPC with General Secretary Xi Jinping at the core, and is willing to further strengthen all-round exchanges and cooperation, and learn from the CPC’s successful experience on development, poverty reduction, anti-corruption and other aspects with the CPC, so as to promote sustained and in-depth development of China-Pakistan friendship.
