Beijing, September 12th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Zinaida Greceanîi, Chairperson of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) and Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament.
Song congratulated Greceanîi on her election as Speaker. He said that in recent years, relations between China and Moldova have continuously developed with constant deepened practical cooperation in areas including the Belt and Road Initiative and increasingly closer people-to-people and cultural exchanges. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The great achievements China has made over the past 70 years are attributed to the strong leadership of the CPC. The CPC has successfully forged the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics and provided new choices for countries and nations in the world that want to accelerate development and hope to maintain their independence. The CPC is willing to work with political parties in the world, including the PSRM, to promote the building of a new type of inter-party relations featuring seeking common ground while reserving differences, mutual respect and mutual learning, and jointly build a better world.
Greceanîi expressed warm congratulations on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the CPC's ruling in China over the past 70 years. She said that the success of the CPC has provided an important reference for the PSRM. Moldova looks forward to further strengthening cooperation with China under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative so as to promote greater development of bilateral relations.
