From September 11th to 13th, Liu Qi, Secretary of the CPC Jiangxi Provincial Committee, led a CPC delegation to visit Cyprus at the invitation of the Democratic Rally Party (DISY). He met with Averof Neofytou, President of the DISY, Yiorgos Loukaides, Member the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Progressive Party of Working People of Cyprus, leaders of the Cypriot government and leaders of sub-national level. Liu actively introduced Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and exchanged views with the Cypriot side on such topics as inter-party exchanges and relations between the two countries.

The Cypriot side spoke positively of the achievements made over the past seven decades since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and expressed the willingness to continue to strengthen exchanges with the CPC and expand practical cooperation between the two countries in various areas.
