The CPC Delegation Attends the Inauguration Ceremony of Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda

Kigali, August 11th—The inauguration ceremony of Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda, took place here today. About 45,000 people attended the event, including heads of state and government from 24 African countries, representatives from other countries, heads of regional and international organizations such as the African Union (AU) Commission, Rwandan political heavyweights and Rwandan people. Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, led a CPC delegation to attend the ceremony upon invitation.  


Kagame delivered a keynote speech at the inauguration ceremony. He thanked the Rwandan people for their trust and support, and called on the Rwandan people to unite and redouble their efforts on the basis of national development over the past 30 years to strive for a better future.  


Liu had a brief exchange with Kagame at the ceremony, congratulating Kagame on his re-election. Kagame welcomed the CPC delegation and thanked the Chinese side for the political support.
