Jakarta, January 16th—Prabowo Subianto, General Chairman of the Great Indonesia Movement Party and President of Indonesia, met here today with Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.  

Prabowo welcomed the CPC delegation. He said, last year, I visited China on my first overseas trip right after I was elected as President and made my first visit to China after officially taking office. I had in-depth exchanges with President Xi Jinping and the visits were a complete success. At present, the two countries maintain close exchanges at all levels and enjoy strong development momentum of bilateral relations. Indonesia is willing to work with China to promote bilateral relations for greater development. Indonesia is very honored to become a full member of BRICS, thanks China for strongly supporting Indonesia in realizing this long-cherished wish, and is willing to strengthen cooperation with China on international and regional affairs. 

Liu said, President Prabowo Subianto and President Xi Jinping drew up a new blueprint for the development of China-Indonesia relations. China is willing to work with Indonesia to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, take the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to intensify high-level exchanges, strengthen the docking of development strategies, deepen practical cooperation in various fields, promote people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and push bilateral relations for more new achievements. China and Indonesia are both major developing countries, emerging markets and important members of the Global South. China welcomes Indonesia's entry into BRICS and looks forward to strengthening coordination and cooperation with Indonesia under the BRICS, China-ASEAN Cooperation and other mechanisms, carrying forward the Bandung spirit in the new era, and making the international order more just and equitable. 

Liu said, both the CPC and the Great Indonesia Movement Party shoulder the historical mission of building a strong country and national rejuvenation, while facing the challenges brought by the changes unseen in a century unfolding at a faster pace. The CPC is willing to, together with the Great Indonesia Movement Party, strengthen institutionalized exchanges and political dialogues, enhance exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, deepen cooperation in cadre training and capacity building, and promote the development of the cause of each Party and relations between the two countries. 

Ahmad Muzani, Secretary General of the Great Indonesia Movement Party and Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of Indonesia, Sugiono, Deputy Chairman of Great Indonesia Movement Party and Indonesian Foreign Minister, Fadli Zon, Deputy Chairman of Great Indonesia Movement Party and Indonesian Minister of Culture, and others were present.
