Beijing, March 24th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Sean Stein, President of US-China Business Council (USCBC). 

Liu said, China-US relations are of vital importance to both countries, and also have a bearing on the global economy, security, and the future of mankind. Both sides should adhere to mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation, strengthen communication and dialogue, properly handle differences, and promote China-US relations for healthy, stable, and sustainable development. It is hoped that the USCBC will exert its influence, help all sectors of the US establish an objective and rational understanding of China, and make new contributions to the development of China-US relations. 

Sean Stein said the US and China are the world's largest, most dynamic and most creative economies. Cooperation is the only correct choice for both sides. The USCBC is willing to continue to make efforts to enhance mutual understanding and promote practical cooperation.
