Beijing, March 24th—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Nguyen Huu Nghia, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and Secretary of the CPV Hung Yen Provincial Committee. 

Liu said, sub-national cooperation is an important part of building a China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance. The two sides should expand sub-national institutional exchanges, promote practical cooperation in various fields, enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, and consolidate the social foundation of China-Vietnam friendship. 

Nguyen Huu Nghia said that Hung Yen Province is willing to give full play to its own characteristics, deepen cooperation with the Chinese side in economy, trade, culture and other fields, and implement the important consensus reached by the general secretaries of the two Parties.
