Tashkent, March 31st—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Sardor Umurzakov, the Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Special Assignments and Chairman of the Committee for Coordination of Analysis and Research under the President.
Liu stated that China is accelerating Chinese modernization, and Uzbekistan is also comprehensively promoting the "Uzbekistan-2030" strategy. China is willing to work with Uzbekistan to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen the docking of development strategies, deepen exchanges and mutual learning of development concepts and experiences, and promote practical cooperation in various fields. Facing the changes and turbulence in the world, China is willing to strengthen solidarity and coordination with Uzbekistan under multilateral frameworks such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and the China-Central Asia mechanism to jointly promote regional peace, stability and prosperity.
Liu said the IDCPC, responsible for the CPC's international exchanges, is willing to continue to promote exchanges between the political parties of the two countries at all levels, promote cooperation in various areas between the two countries, including think tanks, through the "political party +" channel, and carry out exchanges and mutual learning of concept and governance experience on issues of common concern through mutual visits and forums, so that political parties and think tanks will play a part in promoting the high-level development of China-Uzbekistan relations. Relevant Uzbek think tanks are welcome to join the Silk Road Think Tank Association and the Global South Think Tanks Alliance initiated by China.
Umurzakov expressed that Uzbekistan and China share similar development strategies, goals and concepts. China has made great achievements in various reform and development undertakings. Uzbekistan is willing to learn from China's experience in promoting sustainable economic development and promoting social stability. All the five political parties of the Uzbek Parliament maintain friendly and cooperative relations with the CPC. Uzbekistan is willing to further deepen parliamentary and political party exchanges with China and enhance mutual understanding and trust. As the world sees increasing unstable and uncertain factors, Uzbekistan is willing to strengthen bilateral and multilateral coordination with China within the framework of the SCO and the China-Central Asia mechanism to jointly respond to regional and global challenges. The Committee for Coordination of Analysis and Research under the President of Uzbekistan is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China's think tanks, and strengthen exchanges and mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration through expert platforms, joint project research and forums.
After the meeting, Liu and Umurzakov jointly attended a dialogue with responsible officials and experts of think tanks including the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Institute of Legislation and Legal Policy under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Center for Economic Research and Reform under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the International Institute for Central Asian Studies, and the Information-analytical Center for International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan. Liu elaborated on the core essence of Chinese modernization, the CPC's international exchanges, and China's foreign policy. He also commented on topics such as the China-Central Asia mechanism, the development prospects of the SCO, China-Uzbekistan relations, and China-Uzbekistan educational cooperation and talent training.
Yu Jun, Chinese Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Aktam Akhmadovich Khaitov, Chairman of the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businessmen – Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP), and others attended the above mentioned activities.
