Beijing, May 22nd—Liu Jianchao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Kyung-wha Kang, President of the Asia Society of the US. Satisfied with the dialogue platforms established to date, both sides emphasized the critical importance of China-US relations for both countries and the world. Both sides emphasized the need to uphold mutual respect, equal dialogue, and mutually beneficial cooperation, so as to jointly promote stable, sound and sustainable development of China-US relations.
