Beijing, October 30th—The China-France political parties dialogue was held here today. The two sides engaged in candid, in-depth, and constructive exchanges centering on the theme of "Mutual Trust, Cooperation and Win-Win Outcomes: China-France Ties Facing the Next 60 Years". Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech. More than 40 people attended the meeting, including representatives from China's relevant ministries, commissions and think tanks; parliament members from the Renaissance Party, the Republicans Party, the Socialist Party, the Horizons Party, and the Union of Democrats and Independents, the head of the Prospective and Innovation Foundation, officials from the French Embassy in China, as well as members of the French business community in China.

Liu said, since the beginning of the new era, China-France relations have steered onto the fast track under the guidance of the two countries' leaders. The two countries have set a fine example in helping each other succeed and moving forward together. Unprecedented changes are unfolding at a faster pace across the globe, highlighting the strategic value of China-France relations. Both sides should jointly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, adhere to mutual respect and sincerity to achieve a higher level of political mutual trust; uphold openness and win-win cooperation to promote higher-quality mutually beneficial cooperation; adhere to mutual learning and exchanges to deepen people-to-people and cultural exchanges; see each other as partners and guide China-EU relations towards steady and long-term development; and uphold fairness and justice to safeguard true and effective multilateralism.

Liu noted, the recently concluded fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee has outlined a blueprint for China's economic and social development over the next five years and beyond, and will also bring more new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between China and France. Inter-party exchanges are an important component of China-France relations. The CPC is willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation with major political parties in France, strengthen mutual learning of experience in state governance and administration, and promote dialogue and cooperation between the youth, women, local governments, and businesses in both countries, thus leveraging the unique role of political parties in enhancing mutual understanding between the people of China and France and promoting the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations.

The French side expressed that since the establishment of the diplomatic relations between France and China 60 years ago, the two sides have continuously promoted mutual trust, cooperation, and win-win results on the basis of equality, openness, and mutual respect, establishing an incomparable bilateral relationship in the world. Under the new circumstances, both sides should continue to advance and deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields. Bilateral relations must not be allowed to lose momentum, and dialogue must not come to a halt. France and China, the two permanent members of the UN Security Council, bear an unshirkable responsibility for global sustainable development. The two countries should jointly promote the establishment of a new international economic order. The French side is pleased to see that the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee sent a clear message of China's decision on continuing to promote high-level opening-up, and is willing to work with China to strengthen two-way investment, ensure strategic autonomy, and realize win-win development.

Prior to the dialogue, Liu met with the French representatives.

Ma Hui, Vice-minister of the IDCPC, attended the abovementioned activities.
