Sochi, November 14th—Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended here today the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Movement Forum of Supporters of the Struggle Against Modern Practices of Neocolonialism—For the Freedom of Nations! Dmitry Medvedev, Chairman of the United Russia Party, presided over the meeting.

Liu said in his speech that as the world today is undergoing both transformation and upheaval, all countries are exploring the future direction of the world. History has proven that multipolarity is more conducive to maintaining world peace and promoting common development, and is the inevitable direction of the development of the international order. However, a few countries are still engaged in hegemonic, bullying and high-handed practices, creating new camp confrontations, and attempting to disrupt the multipolarization process. The CPC is willing to work with political parties of all countries to jointly defend independence, autonomy, fairness, and justice, resolutely uphold the international system with the United Nations at its core and the international order based on international law; focus on development, revitalization, and common prosperity, adhere to the people-centered development philosophy, and place development at the center of the international agenda; uphold unity, cooperation, and action-oriented approaches, jointly develop and strengthen cooperation mechanisms such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS, and solidly promote multilateral cooperation based on the principle of extensive consultation and joint contribution for shared benefit.

Liu said, China has always been committed to seeking happiness for humanity and progress for the world. President Xi Jinping has successively put forward the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative, and the Global Governance Initiative, demonstrating China's mission and responsibility as a major country and offering Chinese wisdom and solutions to the challenges of our time. The CPC calls on political parties of all countries to join hands and take action.

Representatives of political parties from Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia, South Africa, Algeria, Venezuela, and Nicaragua expressed that although the world has entered the 21st century, colonialism has not disappeared but continues to emerge in new forms, including the use of force or the threat of force to infringe upon the sovereignty and territorial integrity of other countries, interference in other countries' elections, and impose ideologies and development models on developing countries through media. The Global South countries must strengthen unity and cooperation, resolutely resist neocolonialism, defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity, explore development paths suited to national conditions, and enhance the happiness and freedom of their people.
